Some key roles within the Kerry branch of the Irish Farmers' Association have been filled. Following the counting of votes this week, Kieran O'Shea

Some key roles within the Kerry branch of the Irish Farmers' Association have been filled.

Following the counting of votes this week, Kieran O'Shea of Beaufort was elected as chair of the livestock committee, Aidan Griffin of Glencar is the new chair of the environment committee and Helen O'Mahony from Castleisland will lead the farm business committee.

Grace O'Sullivan of Waterville is the farm family chairperson and Kevin Leahy from Causeway is the grain chairperson; they were the sole candidates.

Turnout in the election was reported at 95%.
