A Kerry woman has been appointed University of Limerick’s Interim Vice President of Global and Community Engagement.
Mairead Moriarty, who’s from Tralee, is a professor of applied linguistics at the School of Modern Languages and Applied Linguistics in UL.
Professor Moriarty brings substantial experience to her new role, having worked in international education, and she also led UL’s designation as a University of Sanctuary in recent years.

She is a champion of the Erasmus+ programme and has been part of successful projects across all levels.
