A Kerry TD says the livestock trade needs to keep moving and is urging farmers who have animals to sell not to stay away from the mart.
Level 5 restrictions mean that sellers drop their animals to the mart, buyers are given designated times to view them and the sale is online only.
Some mart managers have voiced concerns that poor broadband is hampering the livestock trade at a traditionally busy time of year and called for restrictions to be eased.
Independent Kerry TD Michael Healy-Rae, who raised the concerns in the Dáil, has been contacted by Tánaiste Leo Varadkar's office who said the restrictions will remain in place for the next four weeks.
