Retention planning permission has been granted to Deputy Michael Healy Rae for four apartments at Churchground, Kilgarvan.
The Kerry TD received planning permission from Kerry County Council in August of last year to alter and extend an existing dwelling house.
However, he demolished the house, while retaining the front facade of the building, and built four apartments on the site.
The development also includes four parking spaces, two more than in the original application.
The council says it opened an enforcement file on the matter, and subsequently the property owner submitted an application for retention, which was granted on May 24th, 2021.
When contacted by Radio Kerry News, Deputy Michael Healy Rae declined to comment on the matter.
