A Kerry TD says the Minister for Agriculture is denying farmers in the county over €11 million.
Sinn Féin TD Pa Daly is calling on Minister Charlie McConalogue to appear before the Dáil to explain his position on Common Agricultural Policy negotiations.
Deputy Daly says the Minister is fighting against the rebalancing of payments to farmers, which he claims would see an additional €11.35 million allocated to Kerry farmers.
The Sinn Féin TD says the Agriculture Minister is also opposing a higher payment on the first number of hectares, and a limit on the amount any one farm can receive.
Pa Daly also believes Minister McConalogue has stalled the entire CAP process because he does not want to implement measures that would bring fairness to the CAP system, while benefitting Kerry.
