A Kerry restaurateur says restricting indoor dining to the fully vaccinated is discriminatory and unworkable.
Noel Keane, owner of Croí Restaurant in Tralee, said we’re in the only country in the world where indoor dining is not allowed.
Mr Keane asked why, if the Government is following the science, is a hotel dining room allowed to serve people indoors, but a restaurant is not.
He described the further delay to indoor dining as mind boggling, with supplies of food and drink already ordered and staff back at work this week getting everything ready.
And he said allowing only vaccinated people to dine indoors would put the onus on restaurants and their staff to police it, which is not fair or feasible.
