People in Kerry are warned not to light fires in the outdoors- with Easter potentially a high-risk time for forest fire outbreaks.
Coillte says an unextinguished barbecue, campfire or burning of lands can be the start of a large and unintended blaze.
There have been 584 forest fires on Coillte lands since 2016 and clean up and damage cost €1.3 last year alone.

It is illegal to deliberately burn vegetation between the 1st of March and the 31st of August.
