That's a decrease of 1,081 people compared to the previous week and reflects the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and the opening of more parts of society.

In the past month, there's been a drop of two-and-a-half-thousand people in Kerry claiming PUP; the figure stood at 15,776 on April 27th.

1,006 people in the county informed the department they were closing their PUP payment and returning to work this week; last week's figure was 962.
