Kerry Group says it intends to enter negotiations with its 3,600 suppliers to agree a new long-term milk contract.
In a letter to suppliers from its sister company, Kerry Agribusiness, it says the current milk supply contract will finish on April 20th 2026 and it intends to enter good faith negotiations with suppliers and the board of Kerry Co-op.
The letter says if the terms of a new milk supply contract are negotiated, they would come into effect after that date or earlier, if agreed.
Kerry Agribusiness says it is confident that business and milk supply terms can be agreed to the benefit of all parties within the timeframe.
