A Kerry singer and musician is calling on the Government to give clarity on when live music events will be allowed.
Guidelines issued by Fáilte Ireland yesterday stated no live or loud music would be permitted in pubs, restaurants and hotels when the hospitality sector reopens in June.
Cathal Flaherty, who is from Killarney, says the last 15 months have been very difficult and says yesterday’s announcement was frustrating for musicians.
He says he along with other performers, thought they’d be in a better position this summer, due to the vaccine roll-out.
