Kerry Mountain Rescue Team are reminding walkers to wear appropriate hiking gear as the evenings become darker.
It comes as a walker descending Carrauntoohil was assisted yesterday.
The casualty was treated at the scene and was transported by ambulance.

The rescue team is urging walkers to give themselves plenty of time for their walk and to always pack a head torch.
