A deal's been reached between the EU and Germany to ban new sales of cars using fossil fuels by 2035.
Drivers will have to switch to electric cars by then, unless they have cars with combustion engines that run on e-fuels - a demand from Germany.
Ireland South MEP Sean Kelly, who represents Kerry, says the Germans will have decision-making power if they can prove this would work:
