The Kerry Local Enterprise Office has received almost €1 million in funding from the government so far this year.
That's according to figures released by the Minister of State for Business, Employment and Retail, Damien English, following a parliamentary question by Dublin Sinn Féin TD Louise O'Reilly.
The Kerry Local Enterprise Office is one of 31 offices across the country in each local authority, which offer enterprise supports.
Although government funding in the Kerry LEO has increased in three of the last four calendar years, it still received the least of any LEO in the country last year at €1.24 million.
Between January 1st and June 15th of this year, the Kerry office had already received €977,000 from government, the sixth highest of any LEO.
