Kerry hoteliers and guesthouse owners want the Government to provide them with a detailed reopening roadmap.
This includes inter-county travel being permitted.
Ahead of an announcement next week by Government on reopening the country, Kerry hotel and guesthouse owners say they need clarity.
Chair of the Kerry branch of the Irish Hotels' Federation, Bernadette Randles says that hotel bookings nationally are at an historic low, averaging just 22% for the key months of July and August.
The IHF is calling on the Government to commit to inter-county travel being permitted and for hotels to be open to all patrons, whether resident or not.
It wants capacity to be linked to space available indoors and outdoors, plans for easing restrictions around weddings and christenings and the adoption of the EU Digital Green Certificate for vaccinated travellers.
The IHF also wants a commitment to business and employment supports.
It says unless the booking levels are improved there will be serious implications for the recovery of the sector in Kerry and elsewhere that could take years to remedy.
