Kerry herds have among the lowest numbers of TB reactors.
A quarterly update on bovine tuberculous shows over 2,000 herds have been restricted this year nationwide, following an inconclusive or positive test.
In Kerry, 75 herds – or just over 2% of herds tested – have been restricted this year.
Nearly 3,400 herds in the county were tested.
The Department of Agriculture has outlined a number of measures to lessen the incidence of bovine TB.
These include reduce the risk from badgers, reduce contiguous spread, source cattle from a herd which has not had a breakdown in recent years and disinfect shared machinery.
