Three areas in Kerry had fewer than five new COVID-19 cases over the past fortnight.
This is according to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, which has calculated the number of cases and the 14-day incidence rates of COVID-19 in all local electoral areas in the Republic.
During the fortnight up to April 26th, 16 LEAs across the country had fewer than five cases each, with three of those being in Kerry: Corca Dhuibhne, Kenmare and Castleisland.
Killarney LEA had the greatest number of cases with 16 over the two-week period, giving it a 14-day incidence rate of 54 per 100,000 population.
Tralee LEA had 14 cases, giving a rate of 42, while the North Kerry area had seven cases over the fortnight, giving a rate of 24.
For comparison, the national 14-day incidence rate over the past two weeks was 123 per 100,000 population.
Up to midnight on Tuesday, 4,523 cases had been reported in the county.
Kerry now has the lowest rate of COVID-19 in the Republic.
