The plan for the pavements in Tralee needs to be reviewed.
That's according to the Kerry Green Party, which has made a detailed submission to Kerry County Council with twelve specific recommendations.
The party says pavement plans for the town don't sufficiently accommodate outdoor seating, those with mobility issues, the elderly, cyclists or families.
The Kerry Greens say the overall goal of the scheme to enhance Tralee is welcome but their suggestions, including the need for safe cycling facilities, will enhance the works.
The submission also says the plan proposes to plant trees in boxes; the Kerry Greens say trees should be planted directly into the ground so the full benefit can be realised.
