A Kerry GP is warning that COVID-19 cases are climbing in Kerry.

Dr Gary Stack, who is based in Killarney, is aware of two separate sets of cases confirmed over the weekend.

He says around half of GP practices in Kerry are continuing with the vaccine rollout and he anticipates moving to the younger age groups quite quickly.

Meanwhile, a Castleisland pharmacist says there's hundreds of people on his waiting list for the Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine.

Jack Shanahan of Shanahan's Haven Pharmacy says they are beginning this week administering the single-dose jab and will hopefully increase numbers over the coming weeks.
