A Kerry Government TD says the uncertainty around Ryanair taking over the Kerry-Dublin flight route is not good enough.
On Friday afternoon, Transport Minister Eamon Ryan announced Ryanair will operate the route from July 19th on a commercial basis.
When Radio Kerry News contacted the airline for comment, it said Minister Ryan's statement was premature and inaccurate, and that no agreement had been concluded.
Kerry Fine Gael TD and Deputy Government Chief Whip Brendan Griffin says he believes the confusion centred around the announcement of the deal itself, and that the offer was made by Ryanair, and accepted by the Department.
However, Deputy Griffin said the uncertainty is unhelpful.
