Families are depending on the fishing industry surviving.
That’s according to Dingle fisherman Robert Brosnan, who is among those protesting in Dublin today against quotas being proposed due to Brexit and EU fishing policy.
A flotilla of fishing trawlers sailed up Dublin's River Liffey earlier, a month on from a similar action in Cork by fishermen and members of the Irish South and West Fish Producers' Organisation.
Robert Brosnan is among those seeking renegotiation of a deal which sees Irish fisherman limited to catching 15% of fish in Irish waters.
He says protesting fishermen won't give up without a deal.
