Kerry County Councillor Mike Kennelly of Fine Gael has been elected to Seanad Eireann.
He's the seventh candidate to be elected to the Labour Panel which has 11 seats to be filled.
His election means that Fine Gael in Kerry will have a representative in the Oireachtas having failed to hold its Dail seat in November's general election.
