Kerry farmers are adapting to new COVID-19 regulations at marts, including wearing masks.
That’s according to manager of Kenmare Mart, Dan McCarthy, who is grateful the sector has been allowed to reopen and trade.
From Monday, it will be mandatory for everyone attending a mart to wear a mask but the regulation was adopted this week in Kenmare.
The mart has also had to introduce regulations on how many people can attend.
Dan McCarthy says this is something that has been difficult for many older farmers who live alone:
