The Kerry Deaf Resource Centre is still having difficulty getting face masks with transparencies, which aid lip reading.
Willie White of Kerry Deaf Resource Centre says mask wearing is causing people to struggle with lip reading.
He says people who are hard of hearing also rely on facial expressions and hand gestures when communicating.
Mr White has noticed that these additional gestures are also being reduced when people are wearing a face covering, which is also having a negative impact.
