A Kerry County Councillor is warning of the dangers associated with bangers and fireworks in the lead up to Halloween.
Sinn Féin councillor Tom Barry was speaking after a Radio Kerry listener said they were kept awake on Monday night by the sound of bangers and fireworks.
He says in North Kerry last year, Halloween festivities began up to seven weeks early.
Cllr Barry says there’ve been no issues locally so far this year, but says many people, particularly the elderly, dread this time of year due to anti-social behaviour.
