A Kerry County Councillor has been told that no dates have been finalised for the reopening of Day Care Centres for the elderly.
Councillor Norma Moriarty received the response from Michael Fitzgerald, the Chief Officer for Cork/Kerry Community Healthcare, at the recent Regional Health Forum Meeting.
The Fianna Fáil Councillor asked for an update on the reopening of day services for the elderly at Caherciveen Community Hospital.
Cllr Moriarty also requested that the required staff be approved and sourced if necessary, to provide the service.
Mr Fitzgerald replied that no dates have been finalised for the reopening of Day Care Centres due to public health advice, but Day Care attendees are continuing with Home and Community Supports.
