A Kerry County Councillor is calling for a rural recreation officer for North Kerry.
Cllr Aoife Thornton made the call at this month’s meeting of Kerry County Council.
Cllr Thornton says there’s a lack of signage around areas like Lyreacompane and Glanageenty.
Cllr Thornton added that as a result, visitors are unable to find the walking trails and scenery that North Kerry has to offer.
The Fine Gael Councillor says North Kerry needs someone on the ground to map out the attractions it has.
