Kerry County Council, the HSE and Gardaí have issued a joint statement urging people to redouble their efforts to combat the spread of COVID-19.
They made a direct appeal to the people of Kerry, urging them to continue their efforts throughout this weekend.
The HSE, Gardaí and Kerry County Council have been working together since the start of the COVID-19 crisis to co-ordinate the community response.
The three bodies have praised the people of Kerry for their efforts to date.
Chair of the area HSE Crisis management team, Michael Fitzgerald says they are concerned about the increase in cases and is asking for the public's support to combat the spread of the virus at this critical point.
Some community transmission of the virus can be traced back to groups of family and friends, according to acting director of public health for the region, Dr Anne Sheahan who says it's crucial we act to reduce our contacts.
Hospital workers across the South/South West Hospital Group are working tirelessly, according to CEO Gerry O'Dwyer; he says they are urging people to abide by the guidelines.
Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council, Cllr Patrick Connor-Scarteen is appealing to the people of Kerry to make every effort to curb the spread of coronavirus at this very critical juncture, while Assistant Commissioner Michael Finn says Gardaí are continuing their policing response to the pandemic and they urge people to play their part.
