The number of judicial reviews relating to road projects is increasing according to a senior engineer with Kerry County Council.

Paul Curry, who works in the National Roads Design Office, gave an update to councillors yesterday on major projects for the county.

He says the Macroom/Ballyvourney Bypass is due to be completed in mid-2023 and will reduce travel time between Kerry and Cork by up to 15 minutes.

Mr Curry says it is hoped the Adare Bypass will be completed in 2026 but will be subject to an oral hearing by An Bord Pleanala.
