The Government has advised all third level colleges to go online for the next two weeks as part of attempts to protect against the spread of COVID-19.
The restrictions were already in place in Dublin.
In a statement issued to students yesterday evening IT Tralee said that it had not received any advice from the Department at that point .
However it advised lecturing staff to confine on site activities to labs, practicals and workshops until further clarification was received, and said that further updates would be given.
Meanwhile Kerry College has advised it's students that the college is excluded from the NPHET request.
In a statement issued last night, Kerry College says it wishes to advise it's students that as a provider of Further Education and Training, the college is excluded from the request of NPHET to move all learning online for the next two weeks.
It says that campus activities will resume as normal on Monday morning and continue until further notice.
It advises students that all COVID-19 related updates are posted on its website www.kerrycollege.ie/covid or via the college's social media channels.
