A Kerry MEP has hit out at the British Prime Minister's claims about food blockades.
Boris Johnson had suggested the EU will stop the transport of food products from Great Britain to Northern Ireland.
Fine Gael MEP, Sean Kelly says this is a deliberate attempt to misinterpret mutally designed provisions in the protocol on Northern Ireland including avoiding a hard border.
The Ireland South MEP and Leader of Fine Gael in the EU Parliament says this is an audacious act to justify the breaking of international law.
However, MEP Kelly says the comments of the Prime Minister bring to the fore again concerns about access of Irish agricultural products to the British market, particularly that of beef.
