Kerry County Council says it has not received any reports of poison being found on a Tralee walkway or on local beach promenades.
Reports have widely circulated on social media in recent days that poison has been discovered on a section of the Tralee-Fenit Greenway running from Rock Street to Mounthawk, known locally as the Skinny Mile.
The Fenit Development Association also warned dog owners to be extra careful after they were informed of poison being found on the promenades of some local beaches.
However, a spokesperson for Kerry County Council said they have not been made aware of any incidents of poison being laid.
