Kerry County Council has been allocated €84,000 funding to ease problems brought about in houses due to the pandemic.
The money will go towards low cost works on 12 properties.
The application was made following a call in early June for low value works for the relief of COVID-19 housing demands.
Meanwhile the council says it’s still awaiting clarity from central government on policy around dealing with vacancies in council properties; to date this year, no general voids programme has been advised.
The information was revealed following a call by Fianna Fáil Cllr Norma Moriarty for an update on the funding of void refurbishment and renewal works.
