Irish Water is to replace 250m of water mains in Tralee.

The mains will be replaced in partnership with Kerry County Council, on the R874 and N86 Tralee to Blennerville and Dingle Road.

Works will take place between the junction with Canal New Road and the former Johnston Marina Hotel, along the basin of the canal, from this coming Monday, June 14th.

Irish Water says the works will significantly improve water quality and reduce the instances of bursts and water outages, ensuring a reliable water supply for people in the area.

A stop/go system will be in place, with local and emergency traffic maintained throughout, while customers will be given at least 48 hours notice before any short-term water shut-offs related to the works.
