Irish Water is continuing to closely monitor a water treatment plant in North Kerry after it was affected by an oil leak in the River Feale.
The plant at Dromin, Listowel had to be shut down on Wednesday night because the oil leak was close to the water intake point at the plant.
As a result, water production ceased temporarily, and some customers in the Listowel area experienced low water pressure and water outages over the last two days.
Water production recommenced yesterday morning and environmental specialists worked to contain and extract the oil from the river throughout the day.
Irish Water says all customers should now have their normal water supply restored, but it's asking customers to conserve water where possible, as the reservoir levels are still lower than normal due to the temporary shutdown.
