Ireland-South MEP puts down first amendment in Irish language in European Parliament

An Ireland-South MEP has put through the first amendment in the Irish language in the European Parliament.

This follows full acceptance of Irish as an official language of the European Union on January 1st this year. MEP Sean Kelly says he was able to put down the first amendment in the language at European level this week. He says it’s important to mark the achievement.
