A candidate in the Ireland South constituency says she’s concerned at the delay by the government in bringing terms of reference for the COVID inquiry.

Taoiseach Simon Harris has confirmed an inquiry into Ireland's handling of the pandemic will take place before the next general election.

Independent candidate Una McGurk says if the inquiry is non-statutory, it would be an insult to the Irish people and would disregard pillars of democracy.
