The new Cathaoirleach of Kerry County Council says ensuring the infrastructure is in place to welcome people back into the county is his main priority.
Fianna Fáil councillor Jimmy Moloney was elected to the role during the annual meeting of Kerry County Council which took place at Austin Stack Park.
It was a poignant day for the Listowel MD councillor as he was appointed Mayor of Kerry on this grandfather’s anniversary.
His grandfather Dan Jim Moloney served on Kerry County Council and was also a TD and senator; Cllr Moloney also paid tribute to his late parents, Anne and Jimmy following his election to the role.
