IFA hits out at social media farmer bashing in relation to Killarney fire

The chair of the Kerry branch of the IFA has hit out at what he called the farmer bashing taking place on social media.

There have been claims on some social media sites that farmers caused the fire in Killarney National Park.

Kenny Jones says he hopes the garda investigation will reveal the real cause of it.

He adds a discussion and plan is needed on upland management to prevent further wildfires, but it must include farmers.
