The HSE in Kerry has appealed to Leaving Cert students and their families to minimize any risk of contracting COVID-19 ahead of the exams.
Acting Director of Public Health, Dr Anne Sheahan, said while the situation relating to COVID-19 in Cork and Kerry remains stable, the virus is still circulating.
Dr Sheahan reminded students, their families and friends that if a student is a close contact of someone with the virus, they will not be allowed to leave their home to sit the exams.
She appealed to families to avoid indoor gatherings and play dates for younger children to protect Leaving Cert students.
