A housing charity hopes to deliver 50 social housing units in Kerry between now and the end of this year.
The Peter McVerry Trust’s annual report for 2020 reveals it worked with 113 people in Kerry last year through social housing and resettlement services.
The Trust began delivering social housing in the county in September last year in partnership with Kerry County Council, housing 32 people in 15 units in Killarney.
The charity secured another four units in Listowel last year, and it says projects are underway in Killarney and Tralee alongside Kerry County Council.
CEO Pat Doyle says he hopes the charity will have delivered a further 50 units of social housing in Kerry by the end of 2021.
