House prices in Kerry are up 20% in the space of a year.
That's according to the Daft.ie House Price Report for the second quarter of the year.
The report says four-bed bungalows in Kerry experienced the largest annual price increase, while a second property report states two-bed apartment prices went up by 25%.
The Daft.ie report says the average price listed for a property in Kerry in the second quarter of the year was €229,490, which is up almost 10% on the first quarter of the year, and up just over 20% on the same time last year.
It states there were just 58 transactions involving newly-built homes in Kerry in the six months up to March of this year, which is an expected drop of 36%.
According to the report, the average asking price for a one-bed apartment in the Kingdom is now €85,000, an annual increase of almost 14%.
Two-bed terraced houses are up over 22% to €105,000, and three-bed semi detached houses are up 23% to €150,000.
The largest reported increase in the space of a year was for four-bed bungalows, which went up over 26% to reach an average asking price of €294,000.
While the average asking price for a five-bed detached home in the county rose by over 20% in the last year, now standing at €295,000.
A second property report by MyHome.ie found that in the first quarter of the year, the asking price for a two-bed apartment in Kerry was €150,000, representing a 25% annual increase.
It claims the asking price for a four-bed semi-detached home was €210,000 in the first quarter of the year, which was a jump of almost 8% in the space of a year.
