Highest average monthly temperature in April recorded at Valentia Observatory

Valentia Observatory recorded the highest average monthly temperature in Ireland last month.

The south Kerry weather station had an average 10.4 degrees, 1.1 degrees above its long-term average.

It logged 131 hours of sunshine during April.

A total of 77.7mm of rain was recorded at Valentia Observatory last month, 80% of its long-term average.
