A company headed up by a Tralee man and with a base in Killorglin expects to create more jobs in the coming year.
Eddie McGillycuddy of Glencar Construction was recently awarded the Freedom of the City of London.
Born in Tralee, his family moved to the UK when he was two; his company is named after his parents’ homeplace of Glencar.
It recently established a base in the RDI Hub in Killorglin and an office in Dublin, and expects to grow staff numbers to at least 30 in the coming year.
He feels the construction of warehouses will be an area of growth due to a rise in online shopping, and feels this can result in opportunities for smaller towns like Killorglin:
