Gardai in Listowel have advised retailers to be on the alert for a fraud involving swirl cards.
A male has visited several retailers in the North Kerry area and asked for money to be download on to the card, but during the process has distracted the retailer with another purchase and switched cards during the process.
Listowel Gardai are currently investigating the incidents and reviewing CCTV footage in several premises.

They wish to make other retailers aware of the issue and have asked them to report any incidents on 068 21000.
