Gardaí investigate alleged assault in Killarney

Gardaí are investigating an alleged assault at a premises in Killarney.

The incident occurred in the early hours of yesterday morning.

A man in his 40s is currently receiving treatment at Cork University Hospital for serious injuries.

A second man, also in his 40s, was arrested and has since been released without charge.

A file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
