Gardaí have closed a beach in Kerry due to traffic congestion.
Gardaí in Tralee Garda Station say a unit is currently at Inch beach in West Kerry; they’ve the area closed and are directing motorists away from the location.
Kerry County Council enforcement units are also visiting Derrymore and the Maharees in an effort to control traffic in those areas.
Gardaí say, while Derrymore and the Maharees beaches are not currently closed, there are huge volumes of traffic at both locations.
However, Inch Beach is being closed by the council and gardaí.
The high tides are due in the county at approximately 9pm this evening.
