The funeral of an 11-year-old girl who lost her life in a road accident near Abbeydorney this week will take place at midday today.
Funeral mass for Aoibheann Duffy of Tubridbeg, Abbeydorney, will take place at 12 noon in St Brendan’s Church Ardfert; she will be laid to rest in Ardfert’s Abbey Cemetery.
Aoibheann died at University Hospital Kerry on Monday evening following a collision between her bicycle and a van near Abbeydorney.

She was in fifth class at Ardfert National School, where she is remembered as an outgoing, fun-loving girl who was always smiling.
Aoibheann’s fellow students at the school will provide a guard of honour at the funeral.
