11 free and subsidised higher education places have been announced for Kerry.
The places at Munster Technological University Kerry are offered under the Springboard+ and HCI Pillar 1 initiatives.
These programmes provide free courses for people who are unemployed or have taken time out of work or education to care for others and for people who want to upskill or reskill.
The courses for this year include a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Management & Practice, a Certificate in Retail Food Service Operations, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Bioeconomy with Business.
Applications for the courses at MTU, as well as a dedicated helpline for queries, are now open.
