Four people have been taken to hospital following a serious two-car collision just over the Kerry-Limerick border last night.
Gardaí and emergency services attended the scene at Kilconlea, Abbeyfeale, on the N21 shortly after 11:30pm last night.
Two males, both in their early 20s, were taken to University Hospital Kerry, where their condition is being described as critical, and one of these men has since been moved to Cork University Hospital.
A female in her 20s was also taken to UHK, and is in a stable condition and a fourth person, a male in his late teens, was taken to University Hospital Limerick, where he is also understood to be in a stable condition.
The road is currently closed to allow for a technical examination by Garda Forensic Collision Investigations, and local diversions are in place.
