Four of the six electoral areas in Kerry have among the lowest rates of COVID-19 in the country.
This is according to the Health Protection Surveillance Centre, which has calculated the number of cases and the 14-day incidence rate of COVID-19 in all local electoral areas in the Republic.
During the fortnight up to April 5th, four areas in Kerry recorded fewer than five new cases: Corca Dhuibhne, Listowel, Kenmare and Castleisland LEAs.
There are 20 local electoral areas nationally which have rates of fewer than five new cases over the two-week period.
The Killarney LEA, having recorded eight cases, now has a rate of 27 per 100,000 population, while the Tralee LEA had 32 new cases, giving it a rate of 97 per population.
Over the two-week period up to April 5th, there were at least 40 new cases in Kerry, giving an average of just under three per day.
Up to midnight on Tuesday, there were a total of 4,458 cases reported in the county.
